He is Good.

 Jesus loves us.

The Lord Jesus is so sweet. Words fall short. He is good. Period. He is good. That's who He is. 

It doesn't make much sense to us because it is not what we're used to. We are used to dealing with humans who let us down because of their imperfection.

But not with Him. He is so good that it makes no sense to us. We start seeing His goodness and words fall short and our minds cannot comprehend this goodness because it is so different from what we've seen and what we're used to. 

This has led me to contemplate and wonder at the word "Holy". This word describes this mystery of His goodness. This mystery which we cannot comprehend nor liken to anything we've experienced, seen, touched, tasted, felt. Words cannot describe it so we describe it as Holy to say that it is unlike anything we've ever seen. Holy is to be set apart, different. So when we say He's Holy, we say He is not of this earth

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!

For His mercy endures forever.

1 Chronicles 16:34 

Lord Jesus open our eyes to Your goodness and set out minds on it that we may notice and think about it more. May it be before us at all times in our day. May we see this goodness more and more. May we communicate more and more with You about this goodness you treat us with in love.
